About Zip Pod
The Zip Pod is a universal foil assist motor mount for attaching any listed motor to any listed mast.
Maytech and other motor types are currently in the works and will be added once available.
MADE IN USA (no tariffs)
The Zip-Pod is lighter and more hydrodynamic than the factory universal motor pod. It is a great alternative to the “integrated mast” for approximately 1/10 the cost.
Each Zip-Pod is custom-designed to match the shape of a specific foil mast brand/model within the foil-assist position (cable lengths of 12, 15, 20, and 25 cm).
The zip ties are NOT in the load path when motoring; the high force of the motor is
transmitted through the pod into the trailing edge and side surfaces of the mast.
Tested to hold 50 lbs for 3+ days without creep and 120 lbs before failure.
V1 Motors: 2 zip ties | V2 / HP Motors: 3 zip ties (redundancy)
The V2/HP version withstood a 200 CFM fire hose test—forces not achievable during real riding conditions.
The Zip-Pod Benefits

(5.4 oz vs 9.9 oz).

Mount within the foil-assist range of 12–20 cm.
Use beyond this range is not guaranteed on tapered masts.
4. Easily Removable
Cut the zip ties and remove the pod in ~10 seconds.
No permanent modifications required.

- 0.190″ width
- 16″ recommended (14″ possible)
- Shorter than 14″ will not work
Monthly replacement suggested; many riders reuse ties for months with regular checks.
